That's enough


This is the way the painting looks now. I decided I could mess with it more but there's enough there now to make the tranquil statement I had in mind. This pond is on the property where we live. Yes, it is stocked with fish. I did it from a digital photograph taken on a very warm day under clear skies. I could have set up outside in the 90+ degree heat and painted ... but I decided the photo inside my little studio would work just fine. I pushed cool colors in the distance and warm ones in the foreground to try for the sense of depth. This one was fun.

It does look nice and serene , doesn't it. The water is realisticly present and near.
Good picture of the painting btw. Sharp and bright.
